He declares: “I left Islam because I studied Muhammad’s life; I accepted the Gospel because I studied Jesus’ life”

(NOTE: We serialize these 36 reasons so that we could make a sound judgment on which teaching is superior: Islam or Christianity.)

Reasons of and comparisons made by Okoro:

“10. Mohammad said to the masses, ‘Convert or die!’; Christ said, ‘Believe and live!’(John 6:47; 11:25-26).

11. MOhammad was swift to shed blood (Romans 3:15–17); Christ shed His own blood for the salvation of many (Ephesians 1:7).

12. MOhammad preached ‘Death to infidels!’; Christ prayed ‘Father , forgive them, for they know not what they do’(Luke 23:34).”

This writer submits the following quotation to show what Islam believes as inspired scriptures:

“105. And indeed We have written in Az-Zabur (i.e. all the revealed Holy Books — the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Psalms, the Qur’an] after (We have already written in) Adh-dhikr [Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (the Book that is in the heaven with Allah)], that My righteous slaves shall inherit the land (i.e. the land of Paradise).” Surah 21:105 of the Qur’an

ET’s comment: Muslims believe in the inspiration of the above scriptures but they would not accept many things that appear in those books. When something contradicts Islam's teaching, the reason given is “the book has been corrupted.” We should ask Muslims to prove when and how it is corrupted. Ask them to pinpoint which parts of the Torah and the Gospels are corrupted. A general accusation that “it is corrupted” is unacceptable. Church apologists should study the ancient manuscripts of the Bible to be able to stand our ground in comparing ancient manuscripts of the Bible and the ancient manuscripts of the Qur’an. We should be able to point out that it is the Qur’an that is devoid of proof of inspiration and the absence of ancient manuscripts that are pure and uncorrupted. # (More to follow.)
